From a sketch in a coffee shop to launch.
The spark
A parent and two GCSE students, frustrated. Nothing on the market actually supported how they learned — different formats, deeper insights into their learning style, the things AI is finally good at. So they ducked into a local Berkshire coffee shop with a notepad.
Berry juices flowing
Sketches turned into proper plans. Hot chocolate turned into more hot chocolate. Somewhere between the third drink and the second blueberry muffin, the berry juices were officially flowing — and BrainBerry was born.
The build
A small team obsessed with the Berry best approach to revision: fun, focused, and powered by insights only AI can deliver. Every card, mode and nudge co-designed with students who'd actually sat GCSEs and A-Levels.
The launch
Web first, then iOS, then Android — all summer 2026. Free forever for every UK GCSE & A-Level student, with a Premium tier for unlimited AI and ad-free study.
